For Bell Let’s Talk Day, I opened up on instagram about four things I was taught in the military that help me on my bad mental health days!
BENEFITS AND PSYCHOLOGY OF POSITIVE SELF TALK:
Self Talk is that little voice that constantly runs in the back of your head. You can train these thoughts to be negative or positive depending on how you approach situations, the more you negative self talk, the more you will have a pessimistic view of yourself.
There are countless of positive benefits behind positive self talk such as a lower rate of depression, and stress, greater resistance to the common c
old, better quality of life, increased lifespan and better coping skills to name a few.

BENEFITS OF YOGA:
Yoga can increase flexibility as well as muscle tone, improve respiration and learn to properly breathe which may help with panic disorders, helps maintain a healthy metabolism, increases cardio and circulatory health and can even reduce chronic pain on top of lowering blood pressure. If these physical benefits weren’t enough, the mental benefits of yoga are numerous. It helps manage stress, teach you coping skills, increase your outlook on life and overall improve your general well being as it creates mental clarity and relaxes the mind.
